By compressing it, both its temperature and pressure rise. This compressed, high-energy steam is then reused as the heating source for the evaporator. This cycle minimizes the demand for fresh live steam, reducing energy consumption up to 90%.
What are the criteria for selecting a Falling Film vs. Forced Circulation Evaporator?
Falling Film evaporators are ideal for heat-sensitive, low-viscosity, and non-scaling liquids. The liquid flows down the tubes by gravity, providing short contact times. Forced Circulation evaporators are preferred for high-viscosity products, crystallization processes, or fluids prone to scaling. High-speed pumps drive the fluid through the tubes to prevent fouling and blockages.
Which materials are recommended for handling high chloride content or industrial acids?
For saline wastewater, brines, or industrial acids, standard 304 or 316L stainless steel will experience pitting and stress corrosion cracking. We recommend and fabricate equipment using Duplex Stainless Steel (2205/2507), Titanium (Grade 2), or Hastelloy alloys. These materials resist chloride erosion and extend the service life of the equipment.
