China Falling Film Evaporation Plant for Heat-Sensitive Liquids | China Suppliers & Factory Solutions Manufacturer, Factories

Introducing our advanced falling film evaporator, designed to efficiently concentrate heat-sensitive liquids. This innovative system, produced by leading suppliers in China, utilizes vertical heated tubes to create a thin film of feed liquid that flows downwards. As it descends, the liquid partially evaporates, generating vapor that flows parallel to the liquid, thereby enhancing the evaporation process, Our falling film evaporator ensures a short residence time and low operating temperatures, safeguarding the quality of your products. To optimize performance, it requires precise liquid distribution and complete surface wetting, which are essential for preventing fouling and maintaining high thermal efficiency and operational stability, Choose our factory as your trusted partner for top-notch falling film evaporators, and experience unparalleled efficiency and quality in your liquid concentration processes

Product Description

Description

The liquid feed is introduced at the top of the calandria, where a distribution system ensures the formation of a uniform liquid film along the inner walls of the heating tubes. As the film flows downward under gravity, it is heated externally and begins to boil, partially evaporating along its path. The downward flow is further promoted by the co-current flow of vapor generated during boiling.

Separation of the remaining liquid film and vapor takes place in the lower section of the calandria and is completed in a downstream centrifugal droplet separator. To prevent dry spots — which can cause fouling and deposit accumulation — it is critical to maintain complete and even wetting of the entire heating surface. This can be achieved by using longer heating tubes, dividing the evaporator into multiple compartments, or implementing product recirculation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is a falling film evaporator and how does it work?
A falling film evaporator introduces liquid feed at the top of the calandria, where it is distributed into a thin, uniform film along the inner walls of the heating tubes. The film flows downward by gravity while being heated externally, causing partial evaporation. The vapor and remaining liquid are then separated in the lower section using a centrifugal droplet separator.
Q What products are best suited for falling film evaporation?
Falling film evaporators are particularly well-suited for temperature-sensitive products such as dairy products, fruit juices, plant extracts, sugar solutions, and blood plasma. They are also ideal for liquids containing small quantities of solids with a low to moderate tendency to form incrustations.
Q How can dry spots and fouling be prevented in a falling film evaporator?
Dry spots can be prevented by ensuring complete and even wetting of the entire heating surface. This is typically achieved by using longer heating tubes, dividing the evaporator into multiple compartments, or implementing product recirculation to maintain adequate liquid distribution at all times.
Q What energy-saving technologies are available for falling film evaporation systems?
Falling film evaporators can be designed with multiple-effect evaporation, thermal vapour recompression (TVR), and mechanical vapour recompression (MVR) systems. These technologies significantly reduce steam consumption and overall operational energy costs, making the process highly efficient for industrial-scale applications.
Q Can falling film evaporators be customized for specific applications?
Yes, comprehensive customization and turnkey solutions are offered. This includes tailored system design, layout optimization, and material selection based on specific client requirements. Services cover the entire project lifecycle — from process simulation and engineering to installation, commissioning, and operator training.
Q What international quality and compliance standards are adhered to?
The falling film evaporation systems are designed and manufactured in accordance with internationally recognized standards including ISO, CE, and ASME. Rigorous testing and inspection processes are implemented throughout production to ensure safety, consistent performance, and full regulatory compliance for global markets.
