Learn Tech SpecsDoha, the economic center of Qatar, is undergoing an unprecedented transition driven by the Qatar National Vision 2030. Industrial hubs such as Mesaieed Industrial City, Ras Laffan, and the New Doha Industrial Area are shifting focus from basic hydrocarbon extraction to high-value chemical processing, pharmaceutical synthesis, advanced waste treatment, and massive food security infrastructure projects. These processes rely heavily on precise thermal engineering and solid-liquid separation. Airflow dryers play a critical role in these sectors.
Operating drying machinery in Doha presents unique challenges. The region's hyper-arid climate, combined with high ambient humidity near coastal areas during summer, requires process air intake systems that can handle extreme moisture variations. In Doha, ambient air temperatures can rise to 50°C (122°F), which changes the thermodynamics of intake air compression and thermal efficiency. High ambient humidity reduces the moisture carrying capacity of air, which can cause conventional industrial flash dryers to drop in output or consume excessive energy.
To address these conditions, Jiangsu Zongheng integrates automated pre-conditioning air handling units (AHUs). By utilizing multi-stage heat exchangers that reuse waste energy from downstream evaporators, we stabilize the air temperature and humidity entering the drying column. This stabilizes the vapor pressure difference ($\Delta p$) between the wet material surface and the process gas, maintaining uniform dry output regardless of external atmospheric conditions.
Industrial diversification in the GCC region also requires compliance with international standards, such as the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), and explosion-proof (ATEX/IECEx) certifications due to hazardous operating environments. Equipment must be built to withstand highly corrosive marine atmospheres containing salts and gaseous contaminants. Jiangsu Zongheng meets these requirements through heavy-duty structural designs, specialized corrosion-resistant stainless-steel grades (SS316L, Duplex 2205), and advanced automated controls.
Airflow drying, also known as flash drying, is a pneumatic system designed to dry wet cakes, slurries, and temperature-sensitive powders. The process suspends the material in a high-velocity stream of hot gas. Heat is transferred from the carrier gas to the suspended particles as they travel along the drying duct.
Our MQG Airflow Dryers use variable-diameter impulse pipes to optimize this process. By changing the inner diameter of the drying tube at calculated intervals, we alter the gas and product velocity. As the material enters a narrow section, gas velocity increases, accelerating the particles. In the wider sections, gas velocity drops, and inertia causes the particles to overrun the gas stream. This velocity difference strips away the boundary layer of vapor surrounding each particle, accelerating moisture transfer.
Impulse duct structures generate turbulence, disrupting boundary layers to achieve drying times under 2 seconds.
Drying occurs in seconds, keeping core product temperatures low. This prevents thermal degradation of proteins, starches, and active compounds.
Exhaust energy can be integrated with MVR evaporation plants to preheat feed liquid, cutting plant-wide energy costs.
Because of the short exposure time, the product's surface moisture evaporates rapidly while its core temperature remains close to the wet-bulb temperature of the drying air. This preserves heat-sensitive materials like organic starches, chemical intermediates, and food powders.

Selecting a drying and evaporation plant partner requires evaluating their engineering capabilities and supply chain reliability. Located in Yixing City—a manufacturing base for environmental and process equipment in China—Jiangsu Zongheng Concentrating and Drying Equipment Co., Ltd offers a strong combination of quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
Our manufacturing process utilizes local steel supply chains and advanced automation. We employ automated plate rollers, robotic welding systems, and large-scale CNC machining centers. This high-efficiency production allows us to manufacture complex systems, including multi-effect evaporators and multi-stage flash dryers, with shorter lead times and lower CapEx than European OEMs, without compromising on materials or tolerances.
Our engineering team includes 3 senior experts and over 20 engineers. We use computer modeling (CFD for airflow and FEA for stress analysis) to custom-design machinery for Doha's ambient conditions. Each unit undergoes strict quality control, including non-destructive testing (radiographic and dye penetrant testing), before leaving our factory.
Jiangsu Zongheng is an authorized holder of the ASME "U" Stamp and maintains CE Certification. This enables us to design, manufacture, and test Class III medium- and low-pressure vessels in compliance with global regulations. These certifications ensure our equipment is approved for high-spec projects across Qatar and the GCC region.
Established as Yixing Yangxi Light Industrial Machinery Factory, focusing on specialized machinery fabrication for domestic food processing and agricultural sectors.
Implemented international quality management protocols, standardizing design, procurement, and testing phases to support international exports.
Recognized as a Jiangsu Provincial High-Tech Enterprise, expanding R&D in energy-efficient concentration technologies and pneumatic flash dryers.
Secured official manufacturing credentials for pressure vessels, enabling the production of medium- and low-pressure industrial systems.
Acquired ASME "U" Stamp certification, qualifying the company to manufacture pressure vessels for international oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.
Operating a 54,000 m² facility with a workforce of 120, exporting customized thermal solutions to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
In Doha and its surrounding industrial zones, Jiangsu Zongheng's drying and evaporation technologies are configured for several local application scenarios:
Qatar imports a large portion of its grains, making local processing and storage efficiency crucial. Our MQG Airflow Dryers process wet starches, flours, and grains into stable, dry products suitable for long-term storage in Doha's high temperatures. By using precise temperature controls, we prevent starch gelatinization and quality loss, ensuring food products retain their quality.
Water is a valuable resource in Qatar. Industries in Mesaieed and Ras Laffan generate wastewater that must be treated to meet environmental standards and recover water. Our MVR Evaporation Plants and Falling Film Evaporators concentrate high-salinity brine, separating clean distillate for reuse in process loops. The remaining slurry is dewatered using our Single Screw Press, helping plants achieve zero-liquid discharge targets.
As Qatar works to improve local agricultural productivity, organic waste from food processing and livestock is recycled into organic fertilizers. The ZXG Tube Bundle Dryer utilizes low-pressure steam to dry organic materials, producing stable fertilizers.
Integrates waste heat sources from exhaust gas or flash steam to concentrate wastewater, reducing operating costs.
