Explore our core selection of state-of-the-art evaporation units and process machinery designed for industrial-scale processing.
A Rising Film Evaporator (also known as a climbing film evaporator) operates on a well-defined thermodynamic principle where a feed liquid enters from the bottom of the heating tubes. As it is heated by steam flowing outside the tubes, the liquid rapidly begins to boil. The resulting vapor forms bubbles that merge to create a continuous vapor core traveling up the center of the tube at high velocity. This rapid, upward vapor flow forces the unvaporized liquid to form a thin, highly turbulent film on the inner pipe walls. The liquid climbing film and vapor are then separated efficiently in a separator chamber positioned at the top of the column.
This method achieves high heat-transfer coefficients, minimizes liquid residence time, and handles low-to-medium viscosity solutions with exceptional reliability. By maintaining high velocities within the tubes, climbing film designs continuously wipe the heat exchange surfaces, drastically reducing the formation of scale and preventing fouling in critical processes.
Operates under low driving temperature differences (ΔT) utilizing optimized tube diameters and heights to enhance vapor shear velocity and liquid film turbulence.
Ideal for process environments requiring substantial evaporation capabilities within restricted physical footprints, integrating seamlessly with multi-effect schemes.
The high-speed upward vapor stream acts as a continuous self-cleaning mechanism, preventing crystallization layer deposition along the tube walls.
Choosing the correct equipment configuration based on feed properties, thermal sensitivity, and operational cost.
| Technology Type | Flow Direction | Thermal Residence Time | Viscosity Handling | Primary Industrial Suitability |

| Rising Film Evaporator | Upward (Climbing) | Very Short (Seconds) | Low-Medium (< 100 cP) | Dilute feed pre-concentration, foaming liquids. |
| Falling Film Evaporator | Downward (Gravity assisted) | Extremely Short | Low-Medium (< 150 cP) | Highly heat-sensitive extracts, fruit juices, dairy. |
| Forced Circulation | Pump Driven Cycle | Medium to Long | High (> 500 cP) | Crystallizing slurries, extreme scaling wastewater. |
| MVR Evaporation Plant | Optimized Loop (Film/Forced) | Process Dependent | Variable | Heavy energy saving, continuous high capacity. |
Established in 1992 as the Yixing Yangxi Light Industry Machinery Factory, Jiangsu Zongheng Concentrating and Drying Equipment Co., Ltd has evolved into a modern high-tech enterprise. Located in Zhoutie Town, Yixing City on the shores of Taihu Lake, our facility spans a total area of over 54,000 square meters, with a specialized production workshop footprint exceeding 22,000 square meters.
We specialize in designing and manufacturing comprehensive lines of concentration plants, drying systems, starch starch cyclones, and alcohol DDGS equipment. Holding the prestigious ASME "U" Stamp certification, ISO9001 quality management credentials, and Category III medium & low-pressure vessel production licenses, we deliver high-performance equipment across the globe to the food fermentation, chemical, pharmaceutical, and wastewater treatment industries.
Beyond evaporation, we design and manufacture unit operations to optimize your entire process line from dewatering to uniform drying.
Jiangsu Zongheng's MQG Airflow Dryer employs high-speed hot air to suspend and fluidize the material. By utilizing impulse airflow generated from precisely varied tube diameters, it continuously tumbles the particles while conveying them. This design ensures rapid, uniform, and efficient drying throughout the entire transportation process within the system.
Learn More About Airflow DryersA falling film evaporator efficiently concentrates heat-sensitive liquids. The feed liquid forms a thin film flowing down heated vertical tubes, where it partially evaporates. Vapor generated flows parallel to the liquid, enhancing the process. It ensures a short residence time and low operating temperature, preserving product quality. The system requires proper liquid distribution and complete surface wetting to prevent fouling and maintain high thermal efficiency and operational stability.
